# spim-phdthesisthemes LaTeX classes, packages and configuration files for typesetting a PhD dissertation following the [SPIM doctoral school](https://spim.ubfc.fr) template and recommandations. Built on the powerful [TeX-UPmethodology](https://www.arakhne.org/latex/tex-upmethodology) suite, it provides a professional, ready-to-use structure with advanced formatting macros. These classes packages and configuration files could be easily extended and adapted to the style for your own institution. spim-phdthesisthemes is part of the larger project [TeX-templates](https://www.arakhne.org/latex/tex-templates). ## 1. Features - Front page: Automatically generates the title page with: - Thesis title, author, submission date - Jury members (supervisors, reviewers, examiners) - Institutional logos - Bilingual abstracts & keywords: French and English versions - Complete lists: Table of contents, list of figures, list of tables, list of definitions - Structured chapters: Optional lettrine (dropped capital) and local table of contents per chapter - Specialised environments: Definitions, theorems, research questions, objectives, contributions - Advanced tables & figures: Full caption support and source references - Inline enumerations: Compact lists within paragraphs - Customised description lists: Flexible key‑value labelling - Bibliographies: Two separate bibliographies (general and personal, e.g. own publications) ## 2.
